Billingual Math Teacher

Bolingbrook, IL · Education · $55-72/hour

High School Math Teacher (Bilingual/ESL) – 2025–2026 School Year – In-Person

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher (Bilingual/ESL) for the 2025–2026 school year! This is a full-time, in-person opportunity for educators who are eager to engage, challenge, and inspire students through meaningful instruction and culturally responsive practices. We are also offering a $3,500 singing bonus!

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Location: In-Person
Grade Level: High School
$3,500 signing bonus!

You’ll join a collaborative and inclusive school community, delivering engaging, standards-based math instruction while supporting the academic and linguistic development of bilingual learners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students

  • Create a classroom environment that promotes engagement, respect, and learning

  • Employ effective teaching techniques aligned with district curriculum and instructional standards

  • Utilize ESL methodologies and strategies to support English learners

  • Assess, diagnose, and track student learning and progress

  • Maintain accurate records of academic and language development

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student outcomes and share best practices

  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development

  • Support co-curricular programs as a sponsor, supervisor, or coach


Qualifications

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Mathematics and Bilingual/ESL endorsements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

  • Knowledge of ESL teaching methods, curriculum, and instructional assessments

  • Experience teaching bilingual and/or ESL students (high school experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to assess learning needs, maintain accurate records, and adapt instruction accordingly

  • Knowledge of current teaching strategies and commitment to continuous professional growth

  • Ability to structure a classroom to maximize engagement and student success

  • Willingness to contribute to the school community through co-curricular involvement
