Special Education Teacher (Resource Room – Full-Time, In-Person) – 2025–2026 School Year
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community for the 2025–2026 school year. We are also offering a $3,500 singing bonus!

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person
Start Date: ASAP
Setting: Emotional Disturbance (ED)
$3,500 singing bonus!
Licensure Required: Illinois PEL with LBS1 Endorsement (must be active at time of submission)
Other Requirements: Must complete fingerprinting prior to start date

Key Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individual instruction
• Implement IEPs and track student progress
• Attend IEP and staff meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
• Passion for inclusive, student-centered instruction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in a resource room setting preferred, but not required—new graduates are welcome and will be supported with mentoring
