Ampersand Therapy, a therapist-founded and therapist-run company, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team for a full-time leave coverage school-based position in Renton, Washington. This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct therapy services to students in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
We are seeking a licensed School Physical Therapist who is eager to work in the public school setting and help students access their education through mobility and motor-based interventions. This role is ideal for a PT who is passionate about pediatric therapy, special education, and making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
Position Details:
- Job Title: School-Based Physical Therapist (PT)
- Location: Renton, WA
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Dates: January 5, 2026 – April 3, 2026
- Setting: In-person, school campuses K-12th grade
- Caseload: Assigned based on experience and team needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with IEPs
- Complete physical therapy evaluations and document findings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
- Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for therapy services
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Physical Therapist License (required)
- ESA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- School-based PT experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong interest in pediatric physical therapy, special education, and school systems
- Excellent communication and time management skills
