Full-Time School Physical Therapist (PT) – Renton, WA
2025–2026 School Year | In-Person | School-Based Setting

Ampersand Therapy, a therapist-founded and therapist-run company, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team for a full-time leave coverage school-based position in Renton, Washington. This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct therapy services to students in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

We are seeking a licensed School Physical Therapist who is eager to work in the public school setting and help students access their education through mobility and motor-based interventions. This role is ideal for a PT who is passionate about pediatric therapy, special education, and making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: School-Based Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Location: Renton, WA
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Dates: January 5, 2026 – April 3, 2026
  • Setting: In-person, school campuses K-12th grade
  • Caseload: Assigned based on experience and team needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with IEPs
  • Complete physical therapy evaluations and document findings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
  • Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for therapy services

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Physical Therapist License (required)
  • ESA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • School-based PT experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong interest in pediatric physical therapy, special education, and school systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
