Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – 2025–2026 School Year

Come work with a local, woman and therapist-founded company that values your expertise and understands the work you do every day. Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year at Hawthorn School District 73. 

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: M, T, TH, Fr: 7:20 am-2:50 pm and W: 7:20 am-3:05 pm
• Location: Hawthorn School District, Middle School in Vernon Hills, IL 
• Caseload: Middle School Students
• Service Areas: Evaluations, direct treatment, IEP documentation, and team collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations for students
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services
• Complete and present IEP documentation
• Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families
• Maintain accurate and timely service records and progress reports

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois state SLP license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement, or willingness to obtain
• Experience in schools preferred but not required
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
