1:1 School Nurse (RN) - Leave Coverage

School Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) | Part Time | University Place, WA | 2025–2026 School Year Leave Coverage Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a 1-1 Nurse for the 2025–2026 school year in University Place, Washington. This is a part-time, in-person 1:1 position serving a student with medical needs starting in February 2026. Job Highlights:

  • Location: University Place, WA
  • Position: School Nurse (RN) : 1-1 support for student with G tube, seizure monitoring needs, VNS magnet, oral-nasal suctioning, wheelchair 
  • Schedule: MTThF (no school Wednesdays); 1-1 with preschool student in the AM for about 4 hours per day including bus riding (about 16 hours per week)
  • Setting: School Setting
  • Start Date: February 2026 through the end of the school year
  • In-person only

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State RN license (DOH) or compact nursing license 
  • G-tube experience
  • Seizure monitoring experience
  • Pediatric experience
  • Critical care experience
  • Fingerprinting and background check required prior to start
  • Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health preferred
