About the Role
Hello, Occupational Therapists! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school setting in Wheeling, IL. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by conducting evaluations, supporting IEP development, and collaborating with school teams. This is a great fit for both experienced school-based OTs and those transitioning into schools.

What You’ll Do
Provide school-based OT services: evaluations, treatment, and consultation
Conduct standardized assessments and write evaluation reports
Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with student needs
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
Partner with teachers, SPED staff, and families to promote carryover
Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
Adapt materials and environments to improve student access
What We’re Looking For
Active (or eligible) Illinois State OT license
Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
School-based experience preferred, not required
