Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in Addison, Illinois. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed. You’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
  • Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
  • Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
  • Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid Illinois State teaching license (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
