In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by leading evaluations, supporting student wellness, and driving collaborative, student-centered solutions. What You’ll Do
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral functioning.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports of each student assessed; interpret assessment findings for staff, parents, and other authorized persons as necessary; make educational recommendations.
Provide short-term counseling to students dealing with mental health, behavioral, or emotional concerns.
Develop and lead group counseling sessions on topics such as coping strategies, peer relationships, and anxiety management.
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals to support students' academic and behavioral success.
Offer consultation to school staff on strategies for behavior management, differentiated instruction, and creating inclusive classroom environments.
Provide immediate psychological support during crises and assist in the development of crisis intervention plans.
Participate in school-wide safety initiatives and support the creation of positive behavioral interventions.
Provide training for teachers and staff on topics such as mental health awareness, student support strategies, and recognizing signs of distress or trauma.
Collaborate in the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework by providing data-driven insights, monitoring student progress, and offering targeted interventions to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

What We’re Looking For
Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate
Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology
National Certification in School Psychology(NCSP) preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
