In-Person Summer/ESY 2026 Special Education Teacher | Part-time hours | Starting June 12 

Ampersand is seeking a qualified special education teacher to support the Summer School Program at Lakewood, WA. Candidates will provide instructional support in a structured summer learning environment focused on student engagement, academic growth, and individualized support services.

Position Details

• Schedule: June 12 – August 7, Monday through Friday
• Student Hours: 8:30 am – 11:30 am
• Staff Hours: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Includes 30 minutes of planning time before and after instruction

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State teaching certification with special education teaching endorsement 
• Experience working with K–12 students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Special Education candidates should have experience implementing IEP accommodations and supports
• Background check required
