About the Role
Hello, Registered Behavior Technicians!Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a school setting in Gadsden, AL. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by providing direct one-on-one behavioral interventions that help students develop communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors in the school environment. Using evidence-based strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you'll support meaningful growth, foster independence, and help students reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do
Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in school settings.
Implement behavior intervention and treatment plans as directed.
Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
Reduce challenging behaviors using evidence-based ABA strategies.
Collect and record accurate behavioral and progress data.
Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and school staff.
Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Participate in training, supervision, and professional development.
What We’re Looking For
Associate degree, two years of higher education, or successful completion of the WorkKeysassessment required
Completion of 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training as assigned
Successful completion of the RBT competency assessment
Passing score on the RBT exam
Strong communication and collaboration skills
School-based experience preferred, not required
