About the Role
Hello, Licensed Practical Nurses!Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for a school setting in Fairfield City Schools District. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by providing healthcare services, administering medications and first aid, supporting students with specialized health needs, assisting with health screenings and compliance initiatives, collaborating with school staff and RNs, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality, and promoting a safe, healthy learning environment across the district. a great fit for both experienced school-based OTs and those transitioning into schools.

What You’ll Do
Support the school system’s mission, goals, and priorities.
Provide nursing care and specialized health procedures for students.
Administer medications and first aid according to established protocols.
Assist with health screenings, immunization audits, and school health programs.
Collaborate effectively with RNs, staff, students, and families.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership.
Adhere to district policies and procedures while supporting daily school health operations.
What We’re Looking For
Valid license from the Alabama Board of Nursing designating Licensed Practical Nurse.
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
Pediatric experience strongly preferred
Reliable, attentive, and comfortable in a pediatric setting
Strong communication and collaboration skills
School-based experience preferred, not required
