About the Role

Hello SPED Resource Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students in Boulder, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop compliant IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and create inclusive learning environments that help elementary students succeed. You'll work alongside a supportive district and a therapist-operated team committed to student success.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide specialized instruction and research-based interventions in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning
  • Implement IEP services, behavior intervention plans, and classroom accommodations
  • Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings while maintaining compliance
  • Monitor student progress and complete required progress reports and documentation
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to support eligibility decisions and instructional planning
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Supervise and support paraprofessionals implementing student services
  • Participate in the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, equitable, and engaging learning environment
  • Build positive partnerships with families through ongoing communication and collaboration
  • Participate in professional development and continuously refine instructional practices

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license or application in process
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Flexible team player with strong organization, communication & collaboration skills
  • Experience with technology
  • Minimum of 1 year of school experience required
