About the Role
Hello, Gifted & Talented Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Gifted & Talented Teacher to support students in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide engaging, rigorous instruction that challenges advanced learners while supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. You'll collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to identify gifted students, develop individualized learning plans, and create meaningful opportunities for students to reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about enriching instruction, differentiating learning experiences, and helping gifted students thrive in a rigorous academic environment.

What You'll Do

Screen and evaluate students for Gifted & Talented identification
- Develop, implement, and annually update Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) for identified gifted students
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that challenges gifted learners
- Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and learning materials to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to enrich and extend curriculum across content areas
- Co-plan and support differentiated instruction with Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies teachers
- Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction and support growth
- Partner with students, families, and school staff to promote student success
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports both academic achievement and social-emotional development
What We're Looking For
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teaching License
- Gifted & Talented Endorsement required
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and instructional planning skills
- School-based teaching experience preferred, but not required
