About the Role

Hello Behavior Techs! Come work with a woman and therapist run company doing what you love! Ampersand Therapy is hiring Behavior Technicians for the 2026-2027 school year in the Portland, OR area. We’re seeking passionate and collaborative professionals who are excited to make a meaningful impact in the school-based setting.

What You'll Do

  • Implement ABA Programs — Deliver individualized skill‑building programs designed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Behavior Support — Follow behavior intervention plans to teach replacement behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Data Collection — Record accurate, real‑time data on skill acquisition and behavior goals.
  • Session Preparation — Set up materials, follow treatment protocols, and maintain a structured learning environment.
  • Caregiver Collaboration — Support parent training sessions as directed by the BCBA.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to BACB ethics and Oregon agency/school policies.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some employers prefer college coursework in psychology, education, or related fields).
  • Ability to work with children with diverse behavioral and developmental needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.
  • Ability to pass Oregon background checks (e.g., Oregon Child Care Background Check or district‑specific screening).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it preferred
