About the Role
Hello, School RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to support a P-8 caseload in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive school health services, promote student wellness, and collaborate with educators and families to help students succeed. What You'll Do
- Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance
- Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates
- Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and special education teams
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate
- Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
- Monitor immunization compliance and support health screenings
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Active Colorado State RN license
- School Nursing CDE or ability to obtain
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
- Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
